Test Fedora Kernel 5.4 and earn a Badge!

Fedora gets an new kernel every time there is a new kernel release in the upstream. However, before the kernel gets into Fedora, we run a test week. It's fairly simple to get started. One will need:

  1. The kernel 5.4 image: https://jforbes.fedorapeople.org/kerneltest-5.4.iso
  2. A FAS Account to submit logs
  3. Submit results in http://testdays.fedorainfracloud.org/events/74

Activity

  1. Download the image
  2. Use Fedora Media Writer or any other tool to create a live USB or VM with the downloaded image
  3. Follow the steps mentioned in https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Testcase_kernel_regression and run the script with default and performance.
  4. Copy the vulnerability status and submit it as a part of the comment section in the results page http://testdays.fedorainfracloud.org/events/74
  5. Check badges.fedoraproject.org for the cool Kernel tester badge that you earned :)
