GeoNode: Test the functionality of uploading of styles and linking it to a layer
Before you can start you need to have an account on GeoNode, layer(s) loaded in GeoNode and either be familiar with QGIS or GeoServer.
For this task you are required to create an SLD style file for a layer that you have previously uploaded to GeoNode, upload that SLD file to GeoNode and then link the two files.
Use the following details to log into GeoNode: Username: gciuser19 Password: oSgEoGcI19
Steps to complete this task:
- Create an SLD file using either QGIS or GeoServer.
- Log into the testing GeoNode instance (https://geocatalogue.co.za), navigate to the vector layer you have previously uploaded and edit the style by uploading a a SLD style file.
- Test if your changes are saved and can be seen.
What to submit in a single PDF document:
- Screenshots of the style before and after your edits.
- Comments of your experience, what worked for you, what didn't work for you.
- Activity diagram of the steps you followed to complete this task.
