Create a new repository in Github and push some changes.
Prerequisite:
- Make a GitHub account.
- This is your first-ever repository on your GitHub account.
Steps:
- Install git and create a GitHub account.
- Create a repository by clicking "+" in the upper-right corner of any GitHub page and then click "New repository".
- Name your repository, ("First-GCI-Task"), check the 'Initialize this repository with a README' option and click "Create repository".
- Clone the repository to your computer.
- Open the terminal and change the current working directory to your local project.
- Add any files or edit the README file in your new local repository. This step is just to make sure there are changes to be committed, so any change in the repository would do.
- Commit the files in your computer.
- Push the changes in your local repository to GitHub.
Optional Steps:
- Make a few more commits.
- Learn to make use of rebase command and squash every commit in master into a single commit.
