Interview an individual and ask them about the problems they face while opening up to a mentor

Steps
- Think of and write down the kind of information you want to get out of the interview e.g. how did they start communicating with their mentors? What kind of info they couldn't share in the beginning? etc.
- Then write down interview questions that would best help you converse with them and gain those insights. At this point, you might want to read a bit about strategies for writing interview questions and conducting interviews
- Identify 3 potential individuals ( one can be a family member but the other two need to be friends or someone within your local community/school) whom you can reach out to for an interview.
- Prepare 2-3 lines about what you want to ask them when you reach out to schedule an interview e.g. briefly talk about who you are, why you want to interview them, how long the interview would be and ask about their availability
- Reach out to them to schedule the interview e.g. email them, call them, message them etc
- Conduct the interview. Before starting the interview ask if they would be okay with recording else remember to take notes
- Use your notes or recording to write the blog # Resources:
- If you need help or get lost, post a "New topic" in the outreach-research-tasks stream.
- Read about how to make interview questions here: https://sociology.fas.harvard.edu/files/sociology/files/interview_strategies.pdf
