Lua Task 1 - Introduction to Lua in Wikipedia
Lua (see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lua_(programming_language) ) is a lightweight programming language that is particularly suited for embedding within other software. The software used by Wikipedia, called MediaWiki, has an extension that provides a version of Lua that can be used within Wikipedia pages. The extension is called Scribunto.
The first set of tasks are designed to help you learn the basics of Lua rapidly. Unlike most of the other Wikimedia GCI tasks, these tasks will be done in Wikipedia itself.
Read through and then carry out the instructions at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:RexxS/GCI-2019-Task01
If you make mistakes and don't notice until you have saved the page, simply re-edit the page and correct the mistakes. Don't worry; everybody makes mistakes, but Wikipedia makes them easy to correct.
You should have created three pages:
Your user page
Your module sandbox
Your user sandbox
Please make sure that you save the page every time you are instructed to. Every time you save a page, Wikipedia keeps a copy of that saved page. That allows someone to check what that page looked like when it was saved.
When you have finished to your satisfaction, please leave a comment here when you submit your work, and give the urls of your three pages, something like:
