The Julia Programming Language

Design poster or onepager website introducing Julia

Design a poster or a one-pager website that introduces Julia. It might include:

  • What is Julia?
  • What is Julia used for?
  • What are some examples of real websites, applications or companies who use Julia?
  • What does Julia code look like?
  • Julia logo and URL of Julia web site.

Websites should be simple text and images; no animations, JavaScript or CMS. Websites should be readable on mobile, tablet and PC.

Posters should have a white background and use at most two fonts. Either use a font that is included with your operating system or, if you download an external font, ensure it is licensed for free usage. You can complete this task using software of your choice (e.g. Inkscape, Photoshop, Illustrator, Wonderbrush). The design should use vector format where possible, to allow clean resizing. You must submit all sources (PSD, AI, SVG) and preview files (PNG) of your design. All the images, fonts, etc. you used in creating the design have to be under a suitable creative commons license.

Along with your finished graphic, upload a screenshot showing how you made it.

If the poster is not designed digitally, submit it as a high-resolution photograph. Sources of graphics should be cited in this case.

Your submission must also include a licensing image or phrase. For CC-BY licensing, you can use either: an image from https://creativecommons.org/about/downloads/ the phrase "CC-BY 4.0" or the longer phrase "This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License."
