Bring Augmented Reality with Arcore and Unity to the Liquid Galaxy
ARCore is the SDK for AR in Android, and we want to use it on Liquid Galaxy installations this way:
with a CMS we'll show up QR or similar codes in a balloon on the Liquid Galaxy
when the user points with an APP specifically developed, a 3d image pops up
then the user can interact with the 3d model (that can be too animated)
https://developers.google.com/ar/develop/java/quickstart
or see the many youtube videos available explaining how to
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSMmoebJ8ag
For this task you have to make your own simple app, developed in Android, Unity and ARCore
Obtain (with rights) or design in 3D a unique place or building from your city and compile the app sample including it.
You'll need a phone or tablet that supports ARCore, look at https://developers.google.com/ar/discover/supported-devices
Task delivery
Send to lgcodein@gmail.com
- the 3d model in .obj file format
- the qr or icon to launch, but you can do it by pressing the screen of the phone when arcore has detected the vertical plane of the screens
- the android apk in a shared google drive folder
- A mp4 2 minutes maxim video with a demo
Also publish both contents in the selected task of your Google Code-in dashboard for mentor review and approval.
