Evaluate an existing Apertium translation pair on a text
Pick one of the language pairs in Apertium. Install it and verify that it works. Make sure that one mentor can evaluate your task. See the languages that mentors speak here: http://wiki.apertium.org/wiki/Google_Code-in
After you pick a language pair, get a mentor to confirm that it's okay for you to work on that pair.
Then pick a public domain corpus of 50 sentences on one language. Translate the text using Apertium and evaluate the translation manually. Each translated sentence should be given three scores - Fluency, Adequacy, Overall. Read more
