Make terminology on MusicBrainz consistent regarding email "verification" and "confirmation"
When a new user signs up to MusicBrainz, they're asked to "verify" their email address by clicking on a link sent to the address, to make sure it's valid. However, there are some places where we call this process "confirmation" instead of "verification." For example, if the verification email fails to send, we say "We were unable to send a confirmation email to you." Or if the user tries to edit their biography or website fields before verifying their email, we say "Biography and website fields may not be edited until your email address is confirmed."
This task requires you to find all cases where we use the words "confirm," "confirmed," or "confirmation" to refer to this process, and replace them with "verify," "verified," or "verification." (Note, however, that the column name "email_confirm_date
" in our database schema cannot be changed.)
To complete the task, submit a pull request to our GitHub repository with a proper description mentioning the Jira ticket number, and respond to any suggestions and requests by the MusicBrainz developers until the pull request is approved (you do not need to wait until it gets merged).
