Output is garbled in some (but not all) recordings from Tivo. Samples are included the GitHub issue page. Find what causes it and fix it.

This bug has been around for a long time and it seems like solving it is going to require some patience. So lots of points if you figure it out, some points if you try to solve it but fail (as long as we see you in the slack channel working on it).
