Google Code-in

Objective:

To do this task you need a Linux distribution with root/sudo access to install required packages. The purpose is that you get the MBDyn platform working on a computer you have access to for the whole Code-in program. By completing this task you will have an environment that allows you to proceed with other MBDyn tasks that will be posted during the program.

Requirements:

• download the MBDyn source code: https://www.mbdyn.org/?Software_Download
• compile and install it
• choose a test case from the MBDyn's documentation/examples page and run it (example command: mbdyn -o outputFilename caseFileName.mbd)
• tweet about your task on Twitter, Weibo or other tweet like channel, example: “Just compiled #MBDyn for #FOSSASIA #GCI on @fossasia”

Expected Outcome

• introduce briefly MBDyn by stating what it does
• describe the compilation procedure
• identify difficulties encountered and their solutions
• submit iterations (.out) and log (.log) files obtained after running the test case
• give link to tweet/tweet-like post
