OBJECTIVE

Get familiar with Weblate, the internationalization system of Open Event, sign up and make your first steps in the translation project.

This task should teach you how a translation project works in an Open Source project.

REQUIREMENTS

• Join the chat channel on https://gitter.im/fossasia/open-event-server
• Sign up at weblate here and after the account is activated proceed to the project page
• Try out the system and make a small contribution (e.g. one string) to understand the process
• [Optional] Post an info on social media about your work, e.g. on Facebook or tweet about it e.g. "Learning how to translate #OpenSource #OpenEvent projects with @WeblateOrg @fossasia #GCI @hpdang @mariobehling http://eventyay.com"

EXPECTED OUTCOME

• Joined [chat channel[(https://gitter.im/fossasia/open-event-orga-server)
• Signed up on Open Event Project on Weblate
• Possible issues filed on tracker
• Social media posts
• Learned how to use Weblate and improved one translation string
