Google Code-in

OBJECTIVE

Create a poster with information about FOSSASIA and hang it up at local universities, tech companies and communities to inform students, professors and developers. The idea is to get information about FOSSASIA activities out and invite them to participate in our programs and events.

Background: FOSSASIA runs coding programs and events around the year. For example apart from Google Code-In and Google Summer of Code, we run #CodeHeat in cooperation with the UNESCO. The FOSSASIA feature event is our annual summit in March in Singapore and we put up Science Hack events across Asia.

REQUIREMENTS

• Learn about Open Source applications like Gimp, Inkscape etc. and create a poster
• Use the FOSSASIA logo in the poster
• Add information from the FOSSASIA and #CodeHeat website
• Get agreement from responsible officials to hang up posters if required
• Add name, email, contact details to name of the person who granted you to hang up the poster, e.g. professor in university here below
• Take a photo of the poster with students and professors in front if possible
• Tweet poster and photo mentioning @fossasia @hpdang @mariobehling
• Add the poster and photo to FOSSASIA Album https://goo.gl/photos/XcDnn7j84EKAtSMy7

EXPECTED OUTCOME

• photo of group in front of poster
• your poster and group photo are added to FOSSASIA album https://goo.gl/photos/XcDnn7j84EKAtSMy7
• tweet and post on social network with photo
• contact info of responsible person in institution in comments here
