Write a proposal for a new UI widget
Terasology uses its' own NUI framework to display in-game interfaces at overlays - it includes traditional interface elements, or "widgets", such as buttons, textboxes, dropdowns and so on. Your task is to think of a new widget that can be added to the framework, and write a detailed feature request describing it's potential usage.
Definition of 'Done'
- An issue is submitted to Terasology's bug tracker with a proposal for a new UI widget. It should include the following:
- A short description of the widget - include existing concept drawings / mockups or create your own!
- An example of how this widget can be used in-game.
- The API to be used by this widget.
Where to start?
- A short introduction to the NUI framework can be found here. The org.terasology.rendering.nui.widgets package contains all currently implemented widgets.
- Wikipedia contains an extensive list of UI widgets) - feel free to use it as an inspiration!
