Compile BRL-CAD on the FreeBSD 12 operating system.

If you don't already have FreeBSD 12 installed somewhere, you can easily install and set it up using a virtual machine such as VirtualBox:

Make sure you get the latest sources, install CMake, and get other dev tools:

• http://www.cmake.org/

You will probably want to use these flags when you run CMake:

• CMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release
• BRLCAD_BUNDLED_LIBS=ON
• BRLCAD_ENABLE_STRICT=OFF

Keep notes of everything you do or change. We will create follow-on tasks if you make any fixes that get the build working. You'll report back any failures and otherwise document all the steps you take. Join IRC to discuss your progress and let us help.
