Setup XAMPP Environment for running the app. [FirstAide - Web]
Simple Definition:
Create XAMPP environment to run the FirstAide Web app on your computer.
Installation:
- Download XAMPP suitable for your OS from here https://www.apachefriends.org/download.html (Downloads for all Operating systems are available) You will also need a text editor to edit the files (Sublime or Notepad++)
- Create a Github account if you don't have one and fork the project
- Now, clone it in your computer or download the ZIP file
Opening and Running:
- Launch XAMPP control panel and start 'Apache' and 'MySQL'
- Check if XAMPP is running using the url 'http://localhost:8080/' (Here 8080 is the port number, use the one which you have configured)
- Now copy the project folder FirstAide-web which you have downloaded and paste it in the C:\xampp\htdocs (the path where your xampp is present)
- Run the project using the url http://localhost:8080/directory_name/file_name.extension Example: 'http://localhost:8080/FirstAide-web/login.html
