Privly: Think Aloud with Privly-Chrome
Objective
The Think-Aloud Protocol is a method used to study the usability of software systems in which a user is asked to perform a task while verbalizing their thoughts. While performing the task, an observer records what obstacles the subject is overcoming. These observations help software developers improve the software by getting into the mind of the people they are developing for.
Requirements
Observe a friend while they share content using Privly. To start the user on the task, you should tell the subject what Privly is supposed to do and direct them to search for “Privly” to figure out what to do next.
When the subject fails to use Privly properly, your job is to write about how the user failed and then help them through that failure so they can continue with the task.
You should produce a summary of how the user failed/succeeded in using Privly, and details of each of the failures.
Expected Outcome
- summary of how a user failed/suceeded in using Privly
- details of failures
- a new user who understands Privly
