Google Code-in

1) Objective

The Open Event project aims to offer an event system and app to Open Source event. The objective of the task is to introduce students to contributing to the project on github.

2. Requirements

• Go to https://github.com/fossasia/open-event-webapp
• Fork the project to your account
• Clone the repo to your local system
• Read the README.md file to setup the project in your local repo
• Go through various features on the site (e.g., clicking on various buttons, links, etc.)
• Look out for a feature you miss or find at least one bug. A bug can be any error or enhancement issues such as spacing between elements, proper focusing and anything else which you feel is not right.
• Create an issue on github with steps to reproduce the bug or make a detailed request for a cool feature here: https://github.com/fossasia/open-event-webapp/issues
• Tweet about your task at FOSSASIA Google Code-In and Open Event on Twitter (Weibo or another service) e.g. "Working on #FOSSASIA #GCI #OpenEvent project today with mentors from around the world http://fossasia.org @fossasia"

3) Expected outcome

• Open Event Web App installed on own repo
• Feature Request or Bug report finished and added to issue tracker
• Link to tweet about task
